Stupid Or Arrogant
Either our Congressmen are just plain stupid or so totally arrogant that they just don’t care about anyone but themselves. Several months ago the heads of the auto companies showed up before a Congressional committee and were all but spit on for flying their corporate jets to Washington to ask for government money. Now Congress has asks for $500 million for 8 new jets to haul them around the world. We are in 2 wars, have record deficits, have funded 2 auto companies and an Insurance giant, and they want $500 million for new jets. I wonder what the average IQ of Congress is? They are outrageous!

Arrogant would be the only answer to this question however let’s look at the real cause? The problem is the apathy of the American voters. I receive e-mails daily from people complaining about our government however when you ask them to get involved they are nowhere to be found! It is easy to forward an e-mail but it takes time and dedication to start change!
Do you remember the old saying ” More People Killed at Chappaquid**** than Three Mile Island” involving Senator Kennedy? Instead of holding Brother Ted accountable we have rewarded his conduct by continuing to elect him to office. Let’s also remember the Monica Lewinsky scandal involving former President Clinton who stated ” I Never Had Sex With That Woman”! Was he ever held accountable? He was impeached but left in office. I still do not understand that? Now our former President is being glorified for freeing two American journalists from North Korea while his wife is serving as Secretary of State!
Democrats and Republicans alike are responsible for the moral and economic destruction of our nation.You cannot continue to elect lifetime politicians and their CRONIES if you want true change! This includes the Bush, Clinton and Kennedy families among others. President Obama is a prime example for he is only the chosen speaker and messenger boy for families that have run our government for decades. “We cannot expect change until “WE THE PEOPLE IMPLEMENT REAL CHANGE”!
If we do not hold our elected officials accountable then how can we expect them to stop? If you leave a bag of candy in front of a child unattended what do you think is going to happen with the candy? Will they just eat one piece and stop or continue eating until the candy is gone? The American people must realize that the majority of the candy is gone and start getting rid of the empty wrappers (our politicians in power today)!
