I support legislative action that would mandate all political officials running for re-election and all new candidates seeking office, participate in the same Healthcare and Social Security Benefits offered to the American people starting in November 2010.

I propose ALL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES (excluding military, veterans, some high-value assets like CIA, FBI) be required by law to utilize ONLY any new Government Option passed. The Federal Employees (our employees) must use the New Wonderful Government Option for 36 Months before the Government Option can be offered as a 'Public Option'. If the Feds can bake the cake, and tell WE THE PEOPLE it's good, let's let them enjoy it for 36 months first, then decide. Why turn the WHOLE SYSTEM on it's head overnight? Let all Federal Government employees use the new system for 36 months as a 'beta' test and refinement with audits, then offer it to the public. ALL FEDERAL EMPLOYEES (excl military,others) account for about 10% of the population... perfect 'beta' implementation group.

Recently I have had to deal with governmental agencies and the response is slow, inaccurate, or a human is just unavailable. I really don't want that from health care. That is a very personal thing and some one far removed from the immediate situation should not be involved.
