Mission Statement
The Agape Movement’s focus is to restore our founding fathers’ vision for America. We advocate the bond of church and state together without separation.
Our mission can be best described in the great words of Patrick Henry, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For this very reason peoples of other faiths have been afforded asylum, property, and freedom of worship here.”
It is our belief that the United States government should come under the authority of God’s kingdom principles.
Organizational Plan
Our visionary plan is three fold:
1. Prayer Rallies:
The Agape Movement holds as its core belief the scripture passage: 2nd Chron. 7:14 (NASB) – “if My people, who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Our “One Nation Under God” Prayer Rallies are targeted towards specified prayer for our communities, states and nation in the areas of government, in elections, candidates, fiscal and social issues that affect us as a nation founded upon our relationship to Christ and Christian principles.
Our goals are to unite the body of Christ to intercede on America’s behalf, to have the Christian majority vote to elect Godly principled leaders in all branches of government.
2. Political Rallies:
Along with standing for traditional Christian values, the Agape Movement’s purpose is to inform, energize and focus the voting community. In order to achieve this we will hold political rallies with seasoned speakers that will enlighten the electorate of the state of the union, social issues and topical current events. We do believe the words of the great Justice John Jay, “As the select assemblies for choosing the President, as well as the State legislatures who appoint the senators, will in general be composed of the most enlightened and respectable citizens, there is reason to presume that their attention and their votes will be directed to those men only who have become the most distinguished by their abilities and virtue, and in whom the people perceive just grounds for confidence.”
The largest percentage of citizens in America is Evangelical Christians. It is with that knowledge that we move to rally the Christian believers to take active rolls in their government, to go back to the Founders vision in adhering to the Constitution and in stopping corruption and extortion in all levels of our elected leadership.
3. Church Liaisons:
It is our goal to speak in churches (all denominations) about subject matters concerning government and the Christian input therein. The premise of this action is found in James 3:1 (NASB) “Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment”.
It is our belief that pastors are responsible above all others to offer the truth without boundaries, wavering or fear to their congregations because the standard for them is even greater than those without that call. Our plan is to inform and stand in the gap for church leaders by way of speeches and seminars to teach The Constitution and to encourage church members to vote for the candidate that best represents the integrity of God.
