WASH–The Western media is expressing surprise and alarm that Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Abu Zaid may well be the next President of Egypt. This should be no shock at all. The White House and other Western governments assisted the Muslim Brotherhood in overthrowing the Mubarak government in deference to “democracy.” The Muslim Brotherhood won a position of strength in the “democratic” elections, as did another Sharia Law Islamic party. Now Egypt will likely totally fall under the control of extremist Islam–another win for the man who occupies the Oval Office and America’s new foreign policy strategy of his “New Beginning” speech given June 4 in Cairo. Another acceleration of end time prophecy.
At the time, the US president raised controversy when he allowed representatives of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) to attend his speech where he stated his mission: I have come here to seek a new beginning between the United States and Muslims around the world; one based upon mutual interest and mutual respect; and one based upon the truth that America and Islam are not exclusive, and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles – principles of justice and progress; tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.” The news media and political analysts did not foresee that this speech would reverse America’s Middle East policy in favor of Islam, but it was the beginning. One of the most important challenges we face as a free people is understanding the true nature of – and threat posed by – a totalitarian, supremacist Islamic doctrine its adherents call shariah. So, it would seem to be good news that a $3 million public education campaign is being launched nationwide to “clarify” what shariah is.
The question is: Will this campaign be truthful and helpful, or will it amount to an exercise in what is not only permissible under shariah, but obligatory: lying for the faith, or taqiyya in Arabic?
Unfortunately, since the sponsor of this initiative is one of the most virulent Muslim Brotherhood fronts in the United States, the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), the shariah tour will assuredly be all taqiyya, all the time. As we are seeing in Egypt at the moment, the Brotherhood is fully prepared to lie about its repressive agenda until it is too late for its opponents to resist. Read more…

Dear President Reagan,
If there are horses to ride where you are, or if you have wood to chop and brush to clear, I know you’re busy, so to quote the humorous way you began some of your speeches, “As Henry the Eighth said to his wives, ‘I won’t be keeping you long.’”
I’ve been thinking about you a lot, Mr. President, especially with the Supreme Court this week taking up the constitutionality of President Barack Obama’s health care law. You nailed it back in 1961 when you said, “One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It’s very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project. From here it’s a short step to all the rest of socialism.” You saw a Barack Obama coming.
Although you always saw the sun rising on America, not setting, I wonder if you would still say that America’s best days are yet ahead when we have a president hell bent on putting our best days behind us. Perhaps your vaunted optimism would yet prevail. During the years I was honored to have an association with your White House, your optimism even rubbed off on an old pessimist like me. I sure could use a big dose of your cheer right now because, with conventional wisdom and some polls showing that President Obama may well be reelected, my tank is running pretty low. How I and many millions crave your steadying reassurance and your soaring, inspirational words. Read more…

For the past three days, the nine justices of the U.S. Supreme Court heard a series of arguments on Obamacare — what promises to be one of the most seminal decisions in the Court’s history. Now that the dust has settled, it appears more than likely that President Obama’s signature health care law is on the verge of being struck down — perhaps even in its entirety.
The challengers to the law include more than half of the States of the Union, the National Federation of Independent Business, and private parties, while the Obama Administration is standing in defense of it. Having heard arguments on Monday on whether a law called the Anti-Injunction Act would bar the Court from considering whether Obamacare’s individual mandate to purchase health insurance is unconstitutional, the Court on Tuesday moved on to examining the mandate itself and whether Congress vaulted across the Maginot Line of constitutionality when it imposed the mandate on Americans. How does a president of the United States whose allegiance is to his country knowingly and in plain sight sabotage his nation’s defenses? Until recently, the discussions of severe military cuts remained in the appropriate realm of working groups, and few seriously considered Obama’s radical campaign promises to eliminate nuclear weapons from the U.S. arsenal to be of any real validity. After all, many Democrat presidential contenders before Obama had pandered to pacifists and the armies of the naïve swelling the Democratic base in order to get elected. But none of these individuals actually took proactive steps to completely remove America’s nuclear triad from the list of strategic options. Our ability to instill fear in the hearts of our enemies, both current and future, was left unquestioned by all previous presidents, minor reductions in stockpiles notwithstanding.
Obama has done what no guardian of America would do: systematically tear down the most vital of America’s defenses, all while America’s enemies wait with bated breath for the nation that owes trillions in debt to be left standing defenseless. What happens when America lays down its arms? It seems Obama would like to find out. Americans may be the unintended (intended?) victims of a perverse social experiment. Read more…

WASH–The man who occupies the Oval Office has told the Russian President that he needs less pressure from the Russia’s leader Vladimir Putin on giving up American missile defense systems to the Russians. The US president made the remarks when he thought the microphone was turned off. In a near whisper, He said, “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.” Russian President Dmitri Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…The American president: “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”
This occupier of the Oval Office has created a hostile environment for the United States by reckless policies both domestically and internationally. The facts are–and they are available for anyone to look up on the internet from reliable sources–that his political cronies have benefited from hundreds of millions of tax dollars from failed “green” energy companies to Wall Street bailouts to nationalized health care, weakening the US economy. He has embarked on a strategy to help terrorist organizations such as the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda overthrow governments in the Middle East and establish Islamic laws and constitutions, creating a hostile environment and driving gasoline prices to near record highs. (March 26, 2012) Rare is the occasion when the nine justices of the U.S. Supreme Court gather to hear three days of arguments, and rarer still is when it is for a case like Obamacare — one that cuts to the core of the Constitution and whose outcome could fundamentally alter the role of the federal government and its power over the people. But today the Court will do just that when it open its doors and begins weighing the arguments on the constitutionality of President Barack Obama’s seminal health care law.
Were the American people to vote on the issue, they would fall decidedly against Obamacare, as recent polls have shown. But for the Court, the decision is not as cut and dried as an up or down vote, but one that involves the interplay of a series of issues raised by those who are challenging Obamacare — more than half the States of the Union and a collection of interested organizations and private parties — and those brought by the Obama Administration, which is defending the law. And they come to the Supreme Court after conflicting appellate court rulings which have left undecided the question of whether Obamacare is permissible under the Constitution. Read more…
The cancer known as progressivism is metastasizing, and the rule of law has been openly supplanted by progressive fiat, with all of the eminently predictable consequences slowly coming to fruition
By Arnold Ahlert

If one wishes to understand the ultimate destination of progressive ideology, California is a bellwether.
Last Friday, the Los Angeles Police Department announced that it would no longer enforce a state law that requires police to impound the vehicles of unlicensed drivers for 30 days. Why? Because the majority of unlicensed drivers in that city are illegal aliens, and the policy purportedly inhibits their ability to get to their jobs. It also imposes an undue burden on them when they attempt to retrieve their vehicles — because they must pay a fine to do so. “It’s about fairness. It’s about equal application of the law,” contends Police Chief Charlie Beck, a man seemingly oblivious to the Orwellian dimensions of such a statement.
What separates America from the banana republics of the world — or what used to — is the notion that we are a nation of laws, not a nation of men. Chief Beck is an ideologically-tainted hack who apparently believes that the state’s elected representatives have no business passing legislation that conflicts with the superior wisdom of the progressive worldview. Ergo, he’s taking a pass on the most fundamental aspect of his job description. Read more…

WASH–The US Congress and the man who occupies the Oval Office have conspired to restrict free speech with the passage and signing into law H.R. 347–Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011. Sounding like a landscape beautification bill, in reality HR 347 makes it a federal offense of up to 10 years in prison to protest near “any posted, cordoned off, or otherwise restricted area” such as the White House, the Vice President’s official residence, a building where “the President or other person protected by the Secret Service is or will be temporarily visiting, or a building or grounds so restricted in conjunction with an event designated as a special event of national significance.”
The law applies to whoever-knowingly: enters or remains in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority; intends to impede or disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions; engages in disorderly or disruptive conduct in, or within such proximity to, any restricted building or grounds when, or so that, such conduct, in fact, impedes or disrupts the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions; obstructs or impedes ingress or egress to or from any restricted building or grounds; or engages in any act of physical violence against any person or property in any restricted building or grounds; or attempts or conspires to do so. Who is the greatest threat to America’s national security and survival? If you feel its Muslim terrorists, Mexican drug cartels, Taliban, Al Qaeda or Ahmadinejad you should think again? America’s greatest threat is our President and elected representatives in Washington mostly whom would sell their soul for more power and control over “We the People!”
A good example is a wide-sweeping Executive Order issued Friday, March 16, 2012 by our President under the guise of “Defense Resource Preparedness.” Have any of your elected representatives or national news sources warned you of the impending danger that will nationalize all of America’s natural resources and is a blatant attack on our Constitutional rights & freedom? So-called “experts” and “legal commentators” are trying to downplay concerns saying the Executive Order is no different than that of Bill Clinton or George W Bush. Read more…
