Law
What is a law? And I will not go to Mr. Webster for the definition, but to my mental dictionary of cowboy logic.
A law is a code of conduct which is set by whatever legislative entity holds power. A standard to which all citizens must conform, whether they agree with it or not. You may think it’s safe to drive 65mph in a 55mph speed zone but if you’re caught doing it you’re going to get a ticket.
You may think it’s fine to have ten large mouth bass in your live well when the limit is five. But if the game warden finds you over the limit you’re going to pay for it.
Laws are made for the protection of a nation’s or a community’s protection and without laws there’s no peace, no safety and no civilization.
Just because you don’t agree with a law doesn’t mean you can break it with impunity and if enough people decide to do it, the only thing left to society is anarchy. Read more…
If you ever wondered what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!
Lot of truth here!
If a conservative doesn’t like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a liberal doesn’t like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat..
If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect. Read more…
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” — Author Unknown
The AGAPE movement would like to encourage every American concerned about the direction of our nation to get out and voice their opinion by voting on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Primary elections are important for they will determine the candidates we have to choose from in the November general elections. Our nation is spiraling completely out of control for “WE THE PEOPLE” have not held our elected leaders accountable for their actions and voting records.
We must elect leaders that are going to vote in the interest of the majority of their constituents; not large corporations, major campaign contributors, special interest groups and their own personal agendas. Prior to entering the voting booth research each candidate so you will be able to make an educated decision.
It is very apparent that the current administration continues to ignore the wishes of the majority of Americans by continuing to push for healthcare, tax increases and using taxpayer dollars to bailout corporations destined to fail!
Standing together we can make a difference and send the majority of our arrogant politicians packing this coming November. “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”!
The AGAPE movement will be hosting a debate between Mayor Lanham Lyne and retired state trooper Joe Clement. Both candidates are running in the Republican primary for State Representative, District 69.
The debate will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel, 401 Broad Street, Wichita Falls at 7:00 p.m. in the ballroom. With early voting starting on February 16 and the general election on March 2 we would like to encourage everyone to attend. This is the only scheduled debate between the two Republican candidates and offers the public an opportunity to hear where the candidates stand on various issues affecting District 69 and the State of Texas.
Sean Hannity Says It Best!
“The people have now awoken from a great sleep,” an exuberant Sean Hannity exclaimed, referring to Scott Brown’s victory Tuesday night. “The Obama mania and the death of journalism have not stopped what is now a great awakening. It really comes down a few basic principles. If you want to raise taxes on America, if you want to take over banks and insurance companies and financial institutions and car companies and ruin the best health care system in the world. If you want to do all of that, America is gonna reject you and say ‘no.’ You will lose your power. America is a ‘center right’ country.”
Satan called a worldwide convention of demons. In his opening address he said,
“We can’t keep Christians from going to church. We can’t keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can’t even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their Savior. Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken.”
“So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners, but steal their time, so they don’t have time to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.”
“This is what I want you to do,” said the devil: “Distract them from gaining hold of their Savior and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!”
“How shall we do this?” his demons shouted.
“Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds,” he answered. “Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow. Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles.”
“Keep them from spending time with their children. As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!”
“Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice. Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive. To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly. This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ.”
“Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers. Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day. Invade their driving moments with billboards. Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order products, services and false hopes.”
“Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands will believe that outward beauty is what’s important, and they’ll become dissatisfied with their wives. Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night. Give them headaches too! If they don’t give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to look elsewhere. That will fragment their families quickly!”
“Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Christmas. Give them an Easter bunny so they won’t talk about his resurrection and power over sin and death.”
“Even in their recreation, let them be excessive… Have them return from their recreation exhausted. Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God’s creation. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead. Keep them busy, busy, busy!”
“And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences. Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Jesus. Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause.”
“It will work! It will work!”
It was quite a plan! The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get more busy and more rushed, going here and there. Having little time for their God or their families. Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change lives.
I guess the question is, has the devil been successful at his scheme?
You be the judge!

After being interviewed by the school administration, the prospective teacher said:
‘Let me see if I’ve got this right.
‘You want me to go into that room with all those kids, correct their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse, monitor their dress habits, censor their T-shirt messages, and instill in them a love for learning.
‘You want me to check their backpacks for weapons, wage war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases, and raise their sense of self esteem and personal pride.
‘You want me to teach them patriotism and good citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play, and how to register to vote, balance a checkbook, and apply for a job.
‘You want me to check their heads for lice, recognize signs of antisocial behavior, and make sure that they all pass the final exams.
‘You also want me to provide them with an equal education regardless of their handicaps, and communicate regularly with their parents in English, Spanish or any other language, by letter, telephone, newsletter, and report card.
‘You want me to do all this with a piece of chalk, a blackboard, a bulletin board, a few books, a big smile, and a starting salary that qualifies me for food stamps.
‘You want me to do all this and then you tell me. . . I CAN’T PRAY?

If some among you fear taking a stand because you are afraid of reprisals from customers, clients, or even government, recognize that you are just feeding the crocodile hoping he’ll eat you last.
