Panetta voicing his opinion and in effect warning Iran of Israel’s intentions was shocking, despicable, dangerous and traitorous

By Jerry Philipson

Canada Free Press

President Obama and his administration are concerned that Israelis may launch a unilateral attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities in order to destroy them and thus prevent the Iranians from attacking Israel with nuclear weapons in an attempt to obliterate the country and remove it from the face of the earth, as they have pledged to do many many times. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta believes that Israel will attack within the next six months, possibly as early as April, because after that a successful unilateral attack will be much more problematic due to increased Iranian fortifications.

American concerns center on the impact an Israeli attack will have on the 2012 Presidential election and how it will affect Obama’s chances of being reelected. Obama and his administration believe that whatever the U.S. does or does not do should Israel attack will have a very negative effect on them and are trying very hard to convince the Israelis not to attack in the first place or to hold off until after the election if they do, which is of course why Panetta publicly voiced his opinion, shocking, despicable, dangerous and traitorous though voicing it was.

Obama’s reelection is more important than anything to him and his administration, including Israel’s survival and U.S. national security, which would be severely threatened and jeopardized if Israel was crippled or destroyed. Panetta’s pronouncement compromised both but so what? If Obama is reelected so be it the thinking goes. Presidential politics aren’t a factor for the Israelis however. Keeping nuclear weapons out of the Iranian’s possession is the most important consideration of all for them and if launching a unilateral attack is the only way to do that a unilateral attack there will be. Israelis know that their survival and the survival of their country hinge on keeping Iran from becoming a nuclear power and they also know that their fate is in their own hands because no one else, least of all President Obama and the United States, will stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

They also know that their window of opportunity is closing fast, which means that Panetta is probably right…Israelis will launch a unilateral attack within the next six months, possibly as early as April, in order to prevent a nuclear attack on them by Iran, in order to keep them and their country from being annihilated by Iranian nuclear weapons.

Obama and his administration’s concern is entirely misplaced. They shouldn’t be concerned about the effect a unilateral Israeli attack will have on the 2012 Presidential election at all. They shouldn’t even be thinking about that. What they should be thinking about is the effect an Israeli attack will have on the United States, both a successful attack and an unsuccessful one. What they should be thinking about are the consequences for the U.S. of an Iran with nuclear weapons. They have already decided not to take any meaningful action to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power and to leave Israel to try and do so with the only option at its disposal, the military one.

If Israel is successful, what does the United States do in its own best interests? If Israel is unsuccessful, what does the U.S. do? What does the U.S. do if Israel needs help after the attack has been launched? What does America do if Iran retaliates by attacking the United States? By attacking Israel? These are some of the concerns Obama and his administration should be thinking about. The 2012 Presidential election isn’t one of them. That’s Obama and his administration thinking about themselves. Thinking about the United States and the safety and security of the American people are something completely different.

Panetta voicing his opinion and in effect warning Iran of Israel’s intentions was shocking, despicable, dangerous and traitorous alright. Obama defended Panetta and that action was shocking, despicable, dangerous and traitorous too. It also sent Israel a clear, unequivocal message as well, for the umpteenth time I might add. It told the Israelis that they are on their own, that they can’t depend on the U.S. for anything and that America can’t be trusted to keep its secrets. Not as long as Obama is President anyway.

Don’t think Israel, which is integral to America’s national security and is America’s closest ally and only true friend in the Middle East, hasn’t taken notice.

Don’t think the American people won’t take notice as well.

You’re sound asleep when you hear a thump outside your bedroom door. Half-awake, and nearly paralyzed with fear, you hear muffled whispers. At least two people have broken into your house and are moving your way. With your heart pumping, you reach down beside your bed and pick up your shotgun. You rack a shell into the chamber, then inch toward the door and open it. In the darkness, you make out two shadows. One holds something that looks like a crowbar. When the intruder brandishes it as if to strike, you raise the shotgun and fire. The blast knocks both thugs to the floor. One writhes and screams while the second man crawls to the front door and lurches outside.

As you pick up the telephone to call police, you know you’re in trouble.

In your country, most guns were outlawed years before, and the few that are privately owned are so stringently regulated as to make them useless…

Yours was never registered.

Police arrive and inform you that the second burglar has died. They arrest you for First Degree Murder and Illegal Possession of a Firearm. When you talk to your attorney, he tells you not to worry: authorities will probably plea the case down to manslaughter. “What kind of sentence will I get?” you ask. “Only ten-to-twelve years,” he replies, as if that’s nothing. “Behave yourself, and you’ll be out in seven.”

The next day, the shooting is the lead story in the local newspaper. Somehow, you’re portrayed as an eccentric vigilante while the two men you shot are represented as choirboys. Their friends and relatives can’t find an unkind word to say about them. Buried deep down in the article, authorities knowledge that both “victims” have been arrested numerous times. But the next day’s headline says it all:

“Lovable Rogue Son Didn’t Deserve to Die.” The thieves have been transformed from career criminals into Robin Hood-type pranksters…

As the days wear on, the story takes wings. The national media picks it up, then the international media. The surviving burglar has become a folk hero. Your attorney says the thief is preparing to sue you, and he’ll probably win. The media publishes reports that your home has been burglarized several times in the past and that you’ve been critical of local police for their lack of effort in apprehending the suspects. After the last break-in, you told your neighbor that you would be prepared next time. The District Attorney uses this to allege that you were lying in wait for the burglars.

A few months later, you go to trial. The charges haven’t been reduced, as your lawyer had so confidently predicted. When you take the stand, your anger at the injustice of it all works against you. Prosecutors paint a picture of you as a mean, vengeful man. It doesn’t take long for the jury to convict you of all charges. The judge sentences you to life in prison.

This case really happened.

On August 22, 1999, Tony Martin of Emneth, Norfolk, England, killed one burglar and wounded a second. In April, 2000, he was convicted and is now serving a life term…

How did it become a crime to defend one’s own life in the once great British Empire? It started with the Pistols Act of 1903. This seemingly reasonable law forbade selling pistols to minors or felons and established that handgun sales were to be made only to those who had a license. The Firearms Act of 1920 expanded licensing to include not only handguns but all firearms except shotguns. Later laws passed in 1953 and 1967 outlawed the carrying of any weapon by private citizens and mandated the registration of all shotguns.

Momentum for total handgun confiscation began in earnest after the Hungerford mass shooting in 1987. Michael Ryan, a mentally disturbed man with a Kalashnikov rifle, walked down the streets shooting everyone he saw. When the smoke cleared, 17 people were dead. The British public, already de-sensitized by eighty years of “gun control”, demanded even tougher restrictions. (The seizure of all privately owned handguns was the objective even though Ryan used a rifle.) Nine years later, at Dunblane, Scotland, Thomas Hamilton used a semi-automatic weapon to murder 16 children and a teacher at a public school.

For many years, the media had portrayed all gun owners as mentally unstable, or worse, criminals. Now the press had a real kook with which to beat up law-abiding gun owners. Day after day, week after week, the media gave up all pretense of objectivity and demanded a total ban on all handguns. The Dunblane Inquiry, a few months later, sealed the fate of the few side arms still owned by private citizens.

During the years in which the British government incrementally took away most gun rights, the notion that a citizen had the right to armed self-defense came to be seen as vigilantism. Authorities refused to grant gun licenses to people who were threatened, claiming that self-defense was no longer considered a reason to own a gun. Citizens who shot burglars or robbers or rapists were charged while the real criminals were released.

Indeed, after the Martin shooting, a police spokesman was quoted as saying, “We cannot have people take the law into their own hands.” All of Martin’s neighbors had been robbed numerous times, and several elderly people were severely injured in beatings by young thugs who had no fear of the consequences. Martin himself, a collector of antiques, had seen most of his collection trashed or stolen by burglars.

When the Dunblane Inquiry ended, citizens who owned handguns were given three months to turn them over to local authorities. Being good British subjects, most people obeyed the law. The few who didn’t were visited by police and threatened with ten-year prison sentences if they didn’t comply. Police later bragged that they’d taken nearly 200,000 handguns from private citizens. How did the authorities know who had handguns? The guns had been registered and licensed. Kind of like cars. Sound familiar?

WAKE UP AMERICA – THIS IS WHY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS PUT THE SECOND AMENDMENT IN OUR CONSTITUTION!

“…It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds..”

Bible Prophecy

February 2, 2012

The U.S. and Iran are playing a game of chicken over Tehran’s atomic weapons program. Chances are the U.S. will swerve first to avoid war unless Israel attacks. Then it will be up to Tehran to decide how bad things become, but in the end Iran gets the bomb.

Last November the United Nation’s nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), alerted the world to credible evidence of Iran’s nuclear weaponization program. Subsequently, the U.S. led the West to impose the harshest sanctions yet meant to compel Tehran to abandon atomic weapons.

Iran responded to the sanctions by pledging its nuclear program was for “peaceful” purposes and then threatening that if the sanctions, especially those targeting its oil exports, weren’t abandoned it would close the strategic Strait of Hormuz, cutting off the flow of 35 percent of the world’s daily oil supply. The U.S. countered it would use military force to keep the strait open.

This tense standoff is complicated by Israel’s growing concern with Iran’s quickened atomic weapons pace and the growing chasm of cooperation with the U.S.

Two weeks ago General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was in Israel to discuss the Iran crisis. “We have to acknowledge that they [Israelis]…see that threat differently than we do. It’s existential to them,” Dempsey admitted to the National Journal. That difference explains why Jerusalem is the wild card in the game of atomic chicken.

Also, the Obama administration further distanced itself from “wild card” Israel by suspending [nice word for canceling] the long-planned Austere Challenge 12 bilateral anti-ballistic missile exercise to be held in Israel. Then Obama officials denied U.S. responsibility for the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists but said Israel should claim credit. So much for supporting our friends!

Consider answers to three questions related to this geopolitical game of atomic chicken.

1. Why Will the U.S. Swerve to Avoid Conflict with Iran?

It will swerve because it fears the consequences. Gen. Dempsey told the National Journal the U.S. is committed to preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, but he cautioned the use of force “would be really destabilizing.”

A conflict with Iran would divert resources from other efforts such as the war next door in Afghanistan. Tehran already has connections to the Taliban and could easily help them further destabilize Afghanistan and provide sanctuary. Besides, President Obama is speeding up our Afghan exit which could slow should Iran step-in vis-à-vis the Iraq war.

The U.S. will swerve because the new sanctions appear to be working. Clearly they weakened Iran’s currency by as much as 40 percent but that could have a silver lining. That makes imports more expensive and exports cheaper, which could actually spark the resurgence of Iran’s textile industry and reduce 20 percent unemployment, a “godsend” for Tehran’s mullahs.

Iran’s oil sector, the primary target of the new sanctions, will escape serious damage, however. Iran will continue to sell much of its oil to China and besides, a Saudi source told Reuters, “What we say is that oil is fungible. Iranian oil will still find its way into the market.”

The only way to bring Iran to its financial knees is to impose a massive blockade like the 1962 U.S. quarantine of Cuba. That’s the view of Israeli finance minister Yuval Steinitz who opined to Bloomberg.com a “massive” aerial and naval blockade of Iran that “no one can even go out” might deter Iran’s nuclear ambitions. But a blockade is an act of war, something this administration won’t consider.

The U.S. will swerve because Iran will continue faking cooperation with the IAEA. Iraq’s Saddam Hussein played that game with weapons inspectors for many years as does North Korea. Libya’s former dictator fooled the West into believing he gave up weapons of mass destruction until after the recent revolution bunkers full of chemical munitions were revealed.

A team of IAEA inspectors arrived in Iran on January 29. Iran’s IAEA envoy said the visit shows that Iran’s nuclear activities are “peaceful” and “aimed at foiling the enemies’ plots and their political propaganda.” Sound familiar?

2. Why Won’t Iran Swerve?

Iran won’t swerve because it refuses to “give up” its nuclear program. That program is a national symbol of greatness. Tehran means to leverage it to gain regional dominance and theologically, Iran’s conservative ruling clerics see atomic weapons as the mechanism for ushering in a worldwide caliphate, Islamic rule.

Iran won’t swerve because it has the upper hand over the U.S. Tehran has President Obama scared it will shut the Strait of Hormuz, which could seriously jeopardize his re-election chances vis-à-vis another war and cause skyrocketing gas prices.

Evidence of Obama’s concern came in the form of a “secret” letter to Iran’s leadership. Ali Akbar Velayati, senior adviser to Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamene’l, said, “The letter held nothing new” and a member of Iran’s parliament opined Obama’s letter shows the Americans’ weakness.

Iran won’t swerve because it has significant military ability, enough to close the Strait of Hormuz and hurt American regional interests. It has three Kilo class silent submarines, 19 mini-subs, hundreds of sea mines, shore-based cruise missiles, and high performance boats for swarming larger vessels. Tehran can sink an aircraft carrier and then launch ballistic missiles at regional targets to include Israel. It also has the unconventional Quds Force and proxy terror groups with a proven history of violence to disrupt the region.

Last week, Ayatollah Khamene’l said the U.S. and its allies might “soon realize that they have no arrows left in their bag of sanctions.” That certainly appears to be the case, which explains why Israel is the wild card in the game of atomic chicken.

3. What Might Persuade Israel to Attack Iran?

Last week Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he is working to increase international pressure on Iran, but admitted that so far sanctions are unsuccessful in halting Tehran’s nuclear program.

Israel won’t wait much longer, however. Iran may be just months away from having enough fissile material for a bomb, an Israeli red line.

At least two factors are at play in Israel’s attack decision. First, Jerusalem considers the alleged consequences of an attack overblown—such as the doomsday prediction that it would plunge the entire region into war.

Recent experience indicates an attack won’t set off a catastrophic set of events. For example, Iraq’s Saddam Hussein vowed if attacked he would “burn half of Israel.” He was attacked but his 40 Scud rocket counterattack was a dud. Similarly the 2006 Israel war against Iran terror proxy Hezbollah caused limited harm in spite of thousands of rockets landing inside Israel.

Second, Jerusalem wants to delay having to live with an atomic-armed Iran. Israel understands Iran has been preparing for an attack for years—widely dispersing its atomic weapons program in deeply bunkered facilities. It accepts that a strike may only set back Iran’s weapons program a couple years, but Israeli leaders believe a nuclear armed Iran is unacceptable and delaying that threat worth the costs.

This view was expressed last week in Jerusalem by Maj. Gen Amir Eshel, chief of the army’s planning division, according to The New York Times. He asked, “Who would have dared deal with Gadaffi or Saddam Hussein if they had a nuclear capability? No way.” Then he cited a conversation with an Indian officer about that country’s response to the 2008 Pakistani terrorist attacks in Mumbai. “When the other side [Pakistan] has a nuclear capability and is prepared to use it, you think twice,” the officer replied.

The U.S. will swerve first in the atomic game of chicken with Iran. But Israel, the wild card, has weighed the consequences and appears ready to attack understanding it can only delay the inevitable: Iran will join the exclusive atomic weapons club.

Starbucks: Legalizing Same-Sex Marriage ‘Is Core to Who We Are and What We Value’

(CNSNews.com) – Starbucks, the world’s largest coffee shop chain, added its name to the list of major corporations that have endorsed a gay marriage bill in Washington State, saying the legislation shares the company’s values at its core. The decision was criticized by many conservative, pro-family organizations.

Leading traditional marriage organizations, for instance, are accusing the Seattle-based company of “meddling” in the debate, after Starbucks joined Google, Microsoft, and Nike in support of the legalization of same-sex marriage that is currently gathering momentum in the state legislature.

Kalen Holmes, executive vice president for Partner Resources, released a statement on Jan. 24 entitled, “Starbucks Supports Marriage Equality,” to all of the company’s U.S. employees. Starbucks employs 149,000 people internationally.

“Starbucks is proud to join other leading Northwest employers in support of Washington State legislation recognizing marriage equality for same-sex couples,” Holmes said. “Starbucks strives to create a company culture that puts our partners first, and our company has a lengthy history of leading and supporting policies that promote equality and inclusion.”

“This important legislation is aligned with Starbucks business practices and upholds our belief in the equal treatment of partners,” she wrote. “It is core to who we are and what we value as a company.”

Holmes added, “We are deeply dedicated to embracing diversity and treating one another with respect and dignity, and remain committed to providing an inclusive, supportive and safe work environment for all of our partners.”

“We look forward to seeing this legislation enacted into law,” she concluded.

“This is just a sad development,” said Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), a group dedicated to countering the homosexual activist agenda. “We’re seeing the corporate world gravitate more and more towards the pro-gay position and, of course, it ends up with ultimately supporting same-sex marriage.”

“It’s just very sad because corporations, including Starbucks, they seem so much more solicitous of 1 to 3 percent of the population than the many, many millions of pro-family, mainly Christian consumers who oppose the redefinition of marriage,” he said.

Gay Marriage Watch, a news site that promotes same-sex marriage laws, is now calling for Amazon to support the bill.

The Family Research Council (FRC), a conservative organization that promotes faith, family and freedom, published a post on its Web site saying, “Starbucks Doesn’t Know Beans about Marriage.”

Calling attention to the endorsement, the FRC wrote, “Coffee isn’t the only thing brewing at Starbucks. So is controversy — as customers learn about the company’s bold blend of liberal politics.”

“While the state is still sharply divided over same-sex ‘marriage,’ Starbucks has decided to sweeten the pot for homosexual activists and join the attack on local families,” stated the organization.

“Despite the coffeehouse’s meddling, families in Washington State are doing their best to keep the legislation at bay,” the FRC wrote.

Nonetheless, the same-sex marriage bill passed on a 4-3 vote out of the Senate Government Operations, Tribal Relations and Elections Committee on Jan. 26, and is now awaiting a vote in the full Senate. It appears the Senate has enough votes to pass the measure, joining a solid majority in the House and support by Democratic Gov. Chris Gregoire, according to the Associated Press.

The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) released a statement on Monday vowing to mount a referendum campaign in response to the efforts by the Democrat-controlled legislature to make Washington the seventh state to allow gay marriage.

“NOM will not stand by and let activist politicians redefine marriage, the bedrock of civilization, without voters having a say,” said Brian Brown, the organization’s president.

The group has previously worked to overturn gay marriage laws by ballot referendum in Maine and most famously in California, with Proposition 8.

The NOM also conducted a statewide survey that found 57 percent of Washingtonians, after being made aware the state has a civil union law for homosexual couples in place, said it was not necessary to redefine marriage. The results also showed that 72 percent think state lawmakers should work on other issues instead of gay marriage; 71 percent believe the people should decide the marriage issue; and 9 percent think it should be decided by the legislature.

Peter Sprigg, senior fellow for policy studies at the FRC, in an e-mail to CNSNews.com, said: “Starbucks’ endorsement of controversial legislation to change the definition of marriage that was codified by the Washington state legislature only 14 years ago makes no sense. As their statement notes, they already give ‘domestic partner benefits’ to partners of their homosexual employees, as a way of ‘embracing diversity’ and treating them with ‘respect and dignity.’ For the state to redefine civil marriage will add nothing to these internal policies.”

“However, their concern for ‘diversity’ and ‘inclusion’ apparently does not extend to Christians and other citizens who have legitimate concerns about affirming homosexual conduct,” said Sprigg. “Starbucks could well have remained silent in this heated political debate. But by taking sides, they have only shown their contempt for their employees and customers who believe in traditional family values — in contradiction of their expressed corporate values.”

LaBarbera said a majority of Americans support traditional marriage since 30 states have passed defense of marriage amendments that prohibit civil unions, gay marriage or both. “Why isn’t that a factor in Starbucks’ corporate decisions?” he said.

In the past, the AFTAH has called for a boycott of the restaurant chain Chili’s for being a National Corporate Partner to the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, a homosexual activist group.

While his group is not yet calling for a boycott of Starbucks, LaBarbera says, “Consumers should not take their dollars to companies that basically repudiate their own values.”

LaBarbera said the company inserting itself into controversial issues could backfire. “If somebody wants to boycott Starbucks, it’s certainly an easy company to boycott.”

“It’s so easy you, just get your expensive cup of coffee somewhere else,” he said.

A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd in a remote mountainous pasture in Montana when suddenly a brand-new BMW advanced toward him out of a cloud of dust.

The driver, a young man in a Brioni® suit, Gucci® shoes, RayBan® sunglasses and YSL® tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy, “If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will you give me a calf?”

Bud looks at the man, who obviously is a yuppie, then looks at his peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, “Sure, why not?”

The yuppie parks his car, whips out his Dell® notebook computer, connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3® cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the area in an ultra-high-resolution photo.

The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe Photoshop® and exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany …

Within seconds, he receives an email on his Palm Pilot® that the image has been processed and the data stored. He then accesses an MS-SQL® database through an ODBC connected Excel® spreadsheet with email on his Blackberry® and, after a few minutes, receives a response.

Finally, he prints out a full-color, 150-page report on his hi-tech, miniaturized HP LaserJet® printer, turns to the cowboy and says, “You have exactly 1,586 cows and calves.”

“That’s right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves,” says Bud.

He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on with amusement as the young man stuffs it into the trunk of his car.

Then Bud says to the young man, “Hey, if I can tell you exactly what your business is, will you give me back my calf?”

The young man thinks about it for a second and then says, “Okay, why not?”

“You’re a Congressman for the U.S. Government”, says Bud.

“Wow! That’s correct,” says the yuppie, “but how did you guess that?”

”No guessing required.” answered the cowboy. “You showed up here even though nobody called you; you want to get paid for an answer I already knew, to a question I never asked. You used millions of dollars’ worth of equipment trying to show me how much smarter than me you are; and you don’t know a thing about how working people make a living – or about cows, for that matter. This is a herd of sheep.

Now give me back my dog!

Have American citizens reached the boiling point yet?

Do you not find it conspicuous that this President Obama and many of our elected leaders on both sides are targeting the military at this point in our nation’s history along with passing the 2012 Defense Authorization Act that allows the U.S. Government to pick up American citizens off of the street and hold them without due process of law! Given our President’s promise to “remake” America, he has been true to his word. This President has apologized for America’s greatness; has refused to enforce its laws on border security, marriage, energy policy and more; has put taxpayers into historic debt, now raising the debt ceiling to 16 Trillion; has advanced the cause of homosexuality; has used government funds to promote abortion; has overseen high unemployment and home foreclosures; has supported terrorists as a foreign policy partners; has appointed questionable Muslims to high places in the administration and the courts; and much more. It looks as though this President is intentionally trying to destroy America and many of our lifetime elected leaders are joining him in the progress.

Most patriots are beside themselves on what to do. We indeed need some sort of revolution to take place, but nobody seems to want to take the first step beyond rhetoric.

Some ideas that come to mind are a non violent civil disobedience where millions would go to Washington and essentially shut it down and/or possibly a massive tax withholding campaign where we would not pay in any taxes?

What are your ideas and are you at the point where you would make the sacrifices necessary to save our nation?

Please leave your comments and go to www.hearusnowusa.com vote in their poll of what you are willing to do.

The New York Times has taken on the city’s police department for showing a training film to some 1,400 police officers depicting the terrorist threat posed by Islamists. The film reportedly states that “much of Muslim leadership here in America” is to “infiltrate and dominate” the United States. Of course, the film has drawn the ire of Muslims and Muslim civil rights groups. The police department is now backing off from its decision to show the film that, according to the Times, “amid images of assassinations, bombings and executions, portrays many mainstream American Muslim leaders as closet radical Islamists, and states that their “primary tactic” is deception.”

That Islamist civil rights groups, such as the Council on American Islamic Relations and its affiliates, would fight so hard to prevent police from understanding the Islamic creed of colonizing, radicalizing, and taking over the United States is an obvious and blatant attempt to propagandize the deception of the Islamic movement in America. Evidence suggests that the FBI and Homeland Security are routinely arresting home-grown terrorists who are Islamic or Islamic converts. To run away from the concept of the film is to avoid reality. Preventing law enforcement and the military from understanding the true nature of Islam in America is tantamount to withholding information that could save lives and preserve the nation.

There is no better or concise information about the intentions of Islam in America than what was submitted as evidence by the US Government in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation Trial in Texas. The Muslim Brotherhood plan is to conduct a massive “Concept of Settlement” by coordinating Islamic Centers, news and entertainment media, infiltration of the government, the courts, the congress and various civic and youth organizations to colonize the United States. The plan stated: “The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the word means…work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house…”
Islam is playing for keeps. And for some reason our very own government, under the leadership of a president raised as a Muslim, refuses to accept that Islam is an internal threat to America. From the military to the local police departments, every soldier and officer should know the true intent and methods of this threat. There is a total lack of discernment by America’s leadership, and, for the most part, by America’s citizenry. This so-called religion of peace is anything but. Jeremiah 8:11 says, For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.” There is no peace with Islam. It is a false religion, a tyrannical political system, and an evil destroyer of life and liberty.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

This may partly reflect biblical teaching that Believers submit to worldly authorities; we yield to Caesar what is Caesar’s. Perhaps it represents misguided patriotism, a longing to support our nation manifested as trusting government.

But godliness emulates Christ, who remained pure despite being surrounded by impurity. Obedience reveals our walk, not sanction that Washington’s actions are necessarily right. True patriotism and biblical justice argues against much of the Federal Government’s domestic activity.

Godly governments defend the innocent and punish wrongdoers. Theologian R.C. Sproul clarifies, “The function of government is to restrain evil and to maintain, uphold, and protect the sanctity of life and property.” Recently, President Obama relished abortion for allowing “our daughters…to fulfill their dreams.”

He must have missed the memo.

God instituted governance around family, church and community each bearing specific responsibilities, sovereign within its sphere. As these go askew, the moral firmament slips leaving man’s base instincts unchecked. Cultural chaos ensues.

Yet Washington’s primary purpose has become redistributing property to reward non-work. It’s interference in matters moral decidedly immoral. It’s meddling in faith and family unconscionable attacks on Christianity.

Collisions between church and state become inevitable when government oversteps its bounds. Forcing free birth control is just the latest slap. The Left’s antagonism extends beyond radical abortion rights, taxpayers funding Planned Parenthood and foisting same-sex marriage over the objection of voters.

Where is the Christian outrage at the Left’s agenda? Without a godly vision, the people will perish. If Believers don’t stand athwart this tide with truth and righteousness who will?

Justice connotes conformity to known standards. Biblically, justice (or righteousness) requires fidelity to God’s statutes. Legally, justice entails abiding the Constitution. Washington ought to adhere to the precepts of its founding charter. It doesn’t.

Saint Augustine offered, “Remove justice and what is a kingdom but a gang of criminals on a vast scale.”

Caesar doesn’t define American law. Nor do the fleeting fashions of intellectuals disdaining Christ and disparaging America’s heritage. When Paul wrote Romans 13 regarding submission to authority, rules were whatever Caesar deigned. Not so in America where laws supersede lawgivers, something substantiated whenever newly elected Caesars swear subservience to the Constitution.

Legal equality is a biblical injunction imparted to Western jurisprudence. Man’s equality before God informed the rule of law over the rule of men; the signature achievement of the West’s ascendency. Without His impartial omniscience as judge, lawgiver and king (Isaiah 33:22) mortals had best divide this fearsome clout through checks and balances.

Christians must never conflate Caesar’s realm with Christ’s, but a biblical perspective of human character counsels that state authority be constrained. Government became necessary because man’s heart is as Jeremiah admonished, “deceitful above all things and desperately wicked.” Those governing are prone to depravity too, their power must be curtailed.

Our God-given rights are inalienable; not subject to the arbitrary whims of popularly elected despots. To retain Scripture’s imprimatur, Washington must not violate constitutional parameters. Our only guard against tyranny is the double-yellow lines of the Constitution. When these lines breach, justice bends to the will of the powerful.

Believers beware, powerful rulers rarely tolerate faith. Despite abiding Roman laws, paying taxes, offering charity and even fighting as legionnaires, Christians were frequently persecuted for not worshipping the emperor.

When the Jacobins seized Revolutionary France they instituted “de-Christianization.” During the Reign of Terror more clergy were butchered at le guillotine than nobility. We can’t worship Christ and a secular state simultaneously.

Modern tyrants behaved similarly. Hitler, Stalin and the rest sought to diminish Christianity’s influence. Hitler essentially secluded the Church within its sanctuaries seeing faith as competition. Stalin relegated the Church to a sloganeering mouthpiece for Moscow’s ambitions.

It’s vital that Christians remain vigilant defending our cherished freedoms. The first liberty to be chipped away as federal hegemony hardens could be expressing our faith publicly, the foremost freedom enshrined in the Bill of Rights.

The Supreme Court recently upheld in the Hosanna-Tabor case that churches can restrict employment to those confirming their core beliefs. Still, it’s telling that Obama’s Justice Department took direct aim at religious freedom.

The secular socialist bunch in Washington endeavors to evade the Bill of Rights. The Obama administration supports UN resolution 16/18 infringing speech which incites “imminent violence.” If Christians make factually correct statements spurring violence by Muslims, no matter how irrational, it can be considered hate speech.

Per the National Defense Authorization Act, if Washington deems you a terrorist, or even associated with terrorists, you can be detained indefinitely without charges, rights to trial or counsel. Will these sweeping provisions soon target Christians defending biblical principles?

What of Christians decrying homosexuality or refuting that Islam is peaceful? Will these be criminalized as has already materialized elsewhere in the English speaking world?

The pendulum swings against Biblical Christianity.

While lecturing Christians about America’s pluralistic heritage, Obama transformed NASA into an outreach to Islam. Washington ventures so far not to offend Muslims the Fort Hood massacre was demurred as “workplace violence.” Meanwhile, Department of Homeland Security training portrays white Christians as potential threats.

Official government policy is strictly secular, yet Oklahoma cannot ban Sharia law. Atheists gleefully denigrate Scripture in classrooms even as the Ten Commandments are purged from school lawns. Foreign aid now even considers the recipient nation’s recognition of “gay” rights.

Neither can Christians expect sympathy from an increasingly hostile culture. Biblicism is politically incorrect. As Pat Buchanan notes, comments and actions ridiculing Christians at Christmas would be considered discriminatory if directed at religious or ethnic minorities.

The Southern Poverty Law Center blurted a sentiment now prevalent in civil rights groups esteeming homosexuality as a linchpin of diversity when it labeled the Family Research Council and American Family Association “Hate Groups.” In 2006, Barack Obama mocked orthodox Christianity; jeering James Dobson for espousing scriptural views concerning homosexuality.

Would he dare ridicule the Koran regarding homosexuality?

The Omega Letter

January 23, 2012

Depending upon who you ask, Christianity accounts for just under one third of the world’s population, or about 2.2 billion people. That is a pretty impressive number, given that it represents the followers of a Jewish laborer that lived 2000 years ago in Judea, a sleepy backwater of the Roman Empire.

No person in all history made an impact even approaching that of Jesus Christ. His impact is felt far beyond Christianity. For an alleged fraud, the impact this one Man had upon the history of mankind is incalculable.

One could easily make the argument that if Jesus had not lived and died and was resurrected in what is today modern Israel, there wouldn’t be a modern Israel.

The Balfour Declaration issued in 1917 that set aside a homeland for the Jewish people was prompted by the fact that Lord Balfour was a Christian.

In 1906 a meeting took place in Manchester between Chaim Weizmann and Lord Balfour, who was impressed by Weizman’s personality. He asked Weizmann why Palestine—and Palestine alone—could be the basis for Zionism.

“Anything else would be idolatry”, Weizmann protested, adding: “Mr. Balfour, supposing I were to offer you Paris instead of London, would you take it?”

“But Dr. Weizmann”, Balfour retorted, “we have London”, to which Weizman replied; “That is true, but we had Jerusalem when London was a marsh.”

The reasons for Balfour’s support of the Jewish cause have been widely debated. In his book about the Balfour Declaration, Leonard Stein referred to Balfour’s sharp condemnation of Antisemitism. “It is a shame for Christianity how this people was treated.”

However, if one were to believe the mainstream media or the US educational system or pretty much anything emanating from the halls of US government, Jesus Christ is at best, a divisive historical figure and at worst, a myth.

For a myth, He sure is popular. Not just among the world’s 2.2 billion Christians, but pretty much across-the-board.

Islam ‘adopted’ Jesus (Isa), not as the Son of God and Savior of mankind, but as a ‘Prophet’ of almost-equal rank with Mohammed. By this device, Islam can therefore claim that Jesus Christ of the New Testament was really a Muslim.

But the Koran claims that Isa was born in the normal way, had a normal marriage, normal kids, lived a normal life and died a normal death. ‘Isa’ is another Jesus. “Isa” holds neither the keys to Heaven nor Hell and can save no one.

Buddhists, who deny the existence of a personal Creator God, make room in their theology for Jesus Christ. Buddhism offers no form of redemption, forgiveness, no heavenly hope, or a final judgment to those practicing its system.

But Buddhists claim that Jesus was Himself a Buddhist. “Jesus Lived in India” and “The Original Jesus: The Buddhist Sources of Christianity” by Holger Kersten are both popular books among Western Buddhists.

Nicholas Notovitch allegedly discovered scrolls in a monastery in Hemis claiming Jesus traveled to the east while a young man and studied the scriptures of several faiths, including Buddhism. But the Buddhist Jesus is not the Jesus of the Gospel, Who taught in the Temple in Jerusalem at age 12.

This is another Jesus, and another gospel.

Jehovah’s Witnesses lay claim to Jesus Christ, but also deny His Deity, teaching that Jesus was a created being who was ‘a god’ but not God Himself.

The zeal of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to win new converts puts most Christian efforts to shame. But the JW’s ‘Jesus’ is not God, and salvation comes by a selective works-based process in which only 144,000 Witnesses will share.

(There are modern revisions of this JW doctrine in order to maintain membership, but founder Charles Taze Russell was dogmatic about salvation being limited to 144,000 believers.)

In any case, the ‘Jesus’ of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is another Jesus.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints sounds way more ‘Christian’ than its shorter appellation, ‘Mormon’. Mormon missionaries are as dedicated to preaching their gospel and winning new converts as are the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

But their Jesus is another Jesus. The Mormon Jesus isn’t the Son of God, but a Son of a god, a god who was once a man living on the planet Kronos.

Following the recipe for godhood (he later transmitted to Joseph Smith in Palmyra, New York on mysterious golden tablets sometime around 1830,) the man from Kronos became the same god as God the Father of Jesus. Observant Mormons will eventually get their own universes to be gods in.

The Mormon Jesus reestablished his Kingdom in Independence, Missouri, before changing his mind and relocating his headquarters to Salt Lake City, Utah. His spirit-brother’s name is Lucifer.

Like the others, neither their gospel nor their Jesus offers hope of salvation. But making room for Jesus is good marketing if one wants to convince others to join up.

It boils down to this simple equation: If you want to have a credible religion, well then, since you don’t already have a Jesus, you will need to borrow mine.

As noted, attaching the Name of Jesus to your religion is great advertising. Like having a TV star advertising a particular medicine to lower your cholesterol.

First off, you didn’t know you needed something that lowers your cholesterol.

Before you know it, you are off to ask your doctor if a product that cures something you don’t know you have that incidentally causes flatulence, insomnia, flaking skin, heart palpitations, rashes, male pattern baldness, uneven tire wear and leaky plumbing is right for YOU!

All the while, you’re fully aware that the actor knows no more about pharmacology than you do, and probably doesn’t have a cholesterol problem either.

But he seems like such a believable guy!

So does Jesus, except that the REAL Jesus’ endorsement is too expensive. Embracing the REAL Jesus means becoming a REAL Christian.

Islam would have to give up the sword. Buddha would have to give up pantheism and all that meditation stuff. The Watchtower Bible Society would have to give up its publishing company. The Mormons would have to give up both polygamy here and godhood in the hereafter.

It’s cheaper and easier to just invent a fake Jesus and hope nobody looks at the details too closely.

The Bible make reference to another gospel and another Jesus, not obliquely, but head-on. The Apostle Paul, under the inspiration of God, warned bluntly;

“For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.”

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” (2nd Corinthians 11:4,13-15).

To the Galatians, he wrote,

“I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”

To underscore his point, Paul repeated himself:

“As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:6-9).

The various claimants to the Name of Christ deny His Deity, His Virgin Birth, His Resurrection, His purchase of Redemption and His offer of salvation by grace through faith.

But they covet His Name like no other.

Mohammed is claimed by Islam alone. No other religion claims Buddha as their own except Buddhists. Charles Taze Russell and Joseph Smith are revered only within the sects they founded.

Their Jesus cannot save. He has no power. They follow another Jesus, and different gospel.

Two thousand years ago, six hundred years before Mohammed, 1800 years before Joseph Smith and Charles Taze Russell, and before the modern Western Buddhists discovered Jesus, the Apostle Peter said of the Name of Jesus;

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above; Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

This is something one wouldn’t ordinarily consider fulfilled Bible prophecy. It is as normal as air to a Christian. Of course the Name of Jesus is above every other Name—if one is a Christian living in 21st Western culture.

But when Peter and Paul trod the earth, Christianity was a tiny breakaway Jewish cult. Today, the Name of Jesus is known throughout all the world, above all other names, above all other religious figures, above all other religions.

His is a Name claimed by all, as a necessary, if not critical element, to any claim to religious authenticity.

Significantly, the only major religion that refuses any claim to Christ is Judaism—another fulfillment of Bible prophecy often overlooked.

Paul was himself a Jew, and a Pharisee, and had a great love for his people. Indeed, he offered to exchange his own salvation for that of the Jews (Romans 9:3).

But 2000 years ago, this Pharisaic Jew turned Apostle prophesied that Israel would reject Jesus until His Return. As they have, to this point in history, Name recognition notwithstanding.

“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in” (Romans 11:25).

The Gospel of Jesus is under assault from all directions by smooth-talking apologists preaching another gospel and another Jesus because they need the Power of Jesus’ Name to endorse their product.

The reason is because Jesus is real. He is alive, He is God, and the world instinctively knows it. It doesn’t matter what they teach, or what they believe, or how incredible it is.

What does this all mean? It is powerful evidence, when you take the time to consider it as evidence, and it is impossible for a skeptic to refute.

Need proof?

Attach the Name Jesus to a religion that practices polygamy in Utah as a means to attaining godhood in another galaxy and “bingo!” The next thing you know, there are two nice young fellas from Salt Lake City wearing white shirts and black ties knocking at your door to ask if you know the ‘rest’ of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The first thing you’ll find is that you hear lots and lots about Jesus, but not so much about Kronos. Why? Because the Name Jesus means instant religious credibility, just as His eyewitnesses predicted.

Because they saw the REAL Jesus.

“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.” (2nd Timothy 1:12)

Where did President Obama go after killing off thousands of Keystone XL pipeline construction and manufacturing jobs? Why, Disney World, of course. Sabotaging work is hard work for Goofy and his pals.

And where’d he head after that? Why, up to Manhattan for more high-priced campaign fundraisers charging up to $38,500 per partier. The business of wining and dining politically connected donors ain’t child’s play, you know.

Obama touted a White House foreign tourism initiative on Thursday with Cinderella’s castle as his backdrop. “America is open for business,” he proclaimed chirpily to the rest of the globe.

Tell that to the Keystone managers in Canada whom Obama and his State Department rebuffed — after years of planning and review — in order to appease militant environmentalists and Hollywood celebs. The Animatronic Divider robotically lambasted Republicans for pushing him to make a decision this week. But Senate and House Democrats issued the sharpest rebukes to White House obstructionism:

“President Obama’s decision on the Keystone XL pipeline is a major setback for the American economy, American workers, and America’s energy independence,” Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., said.

“The rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline permit is a missed opportunity to drastically turn this economy around. This pipeline would have created thousands of new jobs and helped to ensure our energy independence,” Rep. Jason Altmire, D-Pa., lamented.

“This delay is just playing politics with American jobs and American energy security,” Rep. Jim Matheson, D-Utah, pointed out.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle scratched their heads as the job-snuffer-in-chief bolted to Orlando’s fantasyland to promote economic growth. But there’s no more fitting place on Earth for the man whose escapist administration occupies the land of make-believe and no consequences. (Bonus moment: Obama got to shake hands with Mickey Mouse, who infamously turned up on a Florida ACORN voter registration form in 2008. Constituent outreach at its most surreal.)

On the very same day he quashed Keystone, Obama released his first campaign ad of 2012 — hyping his stellar record on energy jobs. It’s Opposite Day at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, 365 days a year. Even more comically, the ad touted his exemplary ethics record by quoting a moldy three-year-old endorsement from left-leaning Politifact. And as bipartisan Capitol Hill outrage over the half-billion-dollar Solyndra solar stimulus bust mounts, Obama had the nerve to sprinkle his inaugural campaign spot with — wait for it — solar panels.

Instead of supporting new infrastructure jobs in America through an energy independence-enhancing project that has bipartisan legislative support on Capitol Hill, the president flew to Disney World to peddle looser visa restrictions in China and Brazil by executive order. He also will expand the Visa Waiver Program (a security loophole-ridden program that was suspended temporarily after the 9/11 terrorist attacks) to speed foreign travel.

In case anyone needs reminding, it was the relentless drive of the tourism industry and kowtowing State Department bureaucrats that led to the Bush-era Visa Express Program, which relaxed visa policies, eliminated in-person consulate interviews and opened the door to the 9/11 hijackers. Brazil is just the latest base for al-Qaida and other Islamic jihadi groups. It does not consider Hezbollah or Hamas terrorist groups, and it disbanded its anti-terrorism force in 2009.

The Visa Waiver Program and other efforts to expedite the tourist visa process also pose continuing security risks because — as the Government Accountability Office itself admitted last year — there is still no comprehensive, systematic way to track the 70 million-plus foreign visitors who enter the country on tourist and other short-term visas. Indeed, half of the nation’s estimated 20 million illegal aliens are visa overstayers.

How many of the new Disney foreign tourists whom Obama is touting as America’s economic salvation will fail to return to their home countries after their Obama World visas expire? We’ll likely never know. And Team Obama doesn’t care.

In his opening campaign ad salvo, Obama accuses his opponents of being “untethered to facts.” But this is an administration that believes lowering visa standards and risking homeland security to pump up Disney foreign tourism is a better path to economic recovery than supporting direct American job creation and enhancing energy security. Like the Disney characters he posed with this week, our cartoonish president is wholly untethered to reality.

Mrs. Malkin is author of Unhinged (Regnery) and “Culture of Corruption: Obama and his Team of Tax Cheats, Crooks & Cronies” (Regnery 2009).
