Start AGAPE Movement Chapter
Executive Summary
The AGAPE Movement has made tremendous strides in positioning itself as the grass roots Christian voice on issues facing the nation, and in particular, Texas. AGAPE’s reputation and state-wide presence was accelerated by Judge Biery’s decision against First Amendment rights prohibiting prayer at the Medina Valley commencement. The subsequent calling for the judge’s resignation also has contributed to state and national exposure.
We are finding in our informal research that many people have reached the boiling point and want their voices heard. Still many, who were not willing or able for whatever reasons before, are now wanting to stand against the tide of socialist humanism that has washed over our country. There are many organizations out there that are focused on different issues however leaving those who are moral issue driven feeling unwanted or displaced.
AGAPE is focused on a Christian movement across the United States. Recent statistics show that more than 80% of Americans profess to be Christians however there is a need to organize these people so they will know have direction and feel good about what there accomplishments. This is what AGAPE is about, uniting Christians across America so we will have a strong voice in electing Christian men and women to serve us on a city, state and federal level. We stand by 11 Chronicles 7:14, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land”.
AGAPE believes by applying some professional political organizational techniques to the grass roots that the movement can grow exponentially and hard progress can be made in turning back the tide of socialist humanism.
Strategy
AGAPE’s overall strategic goal is to recruit qualified conservative Christians candidates, elect them to office, and hold them and other elected officials accountable by creating a nationwide organization of Christian Americans and uniting them in this effort.
AGAPE seeks to organize by state, congressional district, and precinct. Ultimately the result should be to have an AGAPE activist heading up each precinct, under a congressional district director, who serves under a state director.
This strategy should be conducted in a way that builds organization, facilitates information flow and activation at the grass roots level, ultimately impacting local, state and national elections, candidate selection at party committee levels, and publicly influencing local issues. We will utilize a combination of paid and volunteer staff to accomplish this strategy.
Outcome
The expected outcome is to put in place an organization that can and will shape and impact public opinion, issues, candidates and elected officials, and the direction of our nation.
AGAPE was started by a core group of approximately 20 people in Wichita Falls. It began with one Wichita Falls couple who became concerned about the growing federal government, runaway spending and the moral decline in our nation. As they talked to their family, friends, pastor and customers, they found that many had the same concerns.
The founders of AGAPE are Christians, but participation in AGAPE is not limited to Christians. The only requirement for participation is to be an American. AGAPE is based on Christian principles, but is not associated with or limited to any specific religion, race, creed or political party. Thomas Jefferson said, “We are not a country ruled by the majority. We are a country ruled by the majority of those who participate.”
Elected officials work for the people. It is inconceivable that 300 million citizens cannot replace irresponsible legislators. This is what AGAPE is about – holding elected officials accountable to their employer! If you are an American, all politicians and government employees work for you!
Do you have the courage to join us in holding our government accountable? Let’s restore America to Americans one politician at a time. Please contact us at info@agapemovement.com and we will lead and assist you in starting an AGAPE chapter in your area. “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”.
May God Bless You and God Bless America!
